About Amy Anderson, LLMSW
Clinical Social Worker | LBGTQ+Affirming | Neuro-Affirming
Amy Anderson (They/Them), LLMSW is a dedicated therapist at Michigan Wellbeing, specializing in working with neurodivergent individuals as well as individuals identifying as LGBTQ+. With a compassionate, client-centered approach, they create a safe and affirming space where clients can explore their emotions, develop practical coping strategies, and build resilience. Their work is deeply informed by an understanding of the unique challenges that come with neurodivergence, including ADHD, autism, and executive functioning differences, as well as the intersection of these experiences with anxiety, identity exploration, and LGBTQ+ concerns.
At Michigan Wellbeing, Amy integrates creative interventions, strengths-based approaches, and somatic or polyvagal-informed techniques to support emotional regulation and nervous system healing. They recognize that traditional therapy models often overlook the specific needs of neurodivergent individuals and work to provide an affirming, tailored experience that honors each client’s unique way of thinking, processing, and engaging with the world.
Committed to fostering growth, healing, and empowerment, they help clients build self-awareness, self-acceptance, and practical skills to navigate life’s challenges.
Whether supporting young adults in finding their voice, helping teenagers and young adults develop supportive routines, or guiding individuals through major life transitions, Amy is passionate about making therapy an accessible, collaborative, and transformative experience.
