Careers and Collaborations at Michigan Wellbeing

An integrative clinic, built by people who do care differently

Michigan Wellbeing is a fully virtual integrative clinic serving clients across Michigan, built on the belief that real healing happens when we treat the whole person from a holistic and integrative model.

We're accepting applications for internships, clinicians, clinical supervisors, integrative wellness practitioners, & community partners. We'd love to hear from anyone who wants to help us build a truly collaborative model of care.

Current & Future Team Openings

We hire on a rolling basis and review applications year-round

Therapists and clinicians

We plan to bring on new clinicians in late 2026 or 2027. We are looking for limited licensed, temporary limited licensed, and fully licensed clinicians that are licensed in Michigan. Please note that we hire on a rolling basis and review applications year-round.

FIELD SUPERVISOR (LMSW)

Our Care Continuity Initiative Team is bringing on macro MSW and MPH student interns, and their schools ask that a licensed social worker meet with each student for an hour a week and complete two evaluations. We are looking for a LMSW to serve as a Field Supervisor and to volunteer one hour a week to our non-profit mission. If you have an MSW, a Michigan LMSW, and at least two years of post degree experience, we would love to hear from you.

Clinical supervisors

Our clinical supervision team is currently full, so we aren't hiring clinical supervisors at the moment. We anticipate a possible need in 2027 as the practice grows, and we welcome fully licensed clinicians who'd like to be considered to apply when that opens.

Integrative wellness practitioners

We're looking for practitioners whose work sits alongside therapy and compliment it. This includes herbalists, functional and integrative medicine providers, acupuncturists and Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioners, naturopathic doctors, registered dietitians and nutritionists, yoga and somatic movement teachers, breathwork and mindfulness instructors, massage and bodywork practitioners, occupational therapists, art and music therapists, health and wellness coaches, and psychiatric providers.

If your work belongs in a whole-person model and you don't see it listed, feel free to reach out. We're still forming this, and the practitioners who join early will help shape how this develops.

We're building a team of clinicians, supervisors, wellness practitioners, coaches, and interns who believe care should treat the whole person and refuse to settle for anything less.

Michigan deserves a different kind of mental health care, one where the mind, body, and spirit are finally part of the same conversation. If this mission speaks to you, and you want to help redefine what it means to be well in Michigan, we'd love to hear from you.

Join Our Team

We look for clinicians and practitioners who are curious, well trained, and devoted to their own growth. Many who come to us share a larger vision as well, the chance to help build one of the clinics leading mental health care in Michigan and to do work that reaches beyond the therapy room and into the community. If you want more room to practice with that kind of depth, at a clinic that invests in your growth and means to make a real difference, you'll fit in well here.

Our practice runs fully virtually across Michigan. Clients meet with us from their homes, our team works from theirs, and everyone gets a schedule that fits their life, with no commute and no waiting room.

For integrative wellness practitioners, we're open to more than virtual work. We're expanding into offerings like herbal support, nutrition-informed guidance, and practices drawn from Traditional Chinese Medicine, and we welcome partnerships with practitioners who have their own physical locations. That can mean collaborative care for shared clients, referral relationships in both directions, or programs we design together.

We've built a strong foundation for the people who work here, starting with an excellent operations and office team that takes on the day-to-day load that usually pulls focus away from good work. Scheduling, billing, insurance claims, credentialing, onboarding, and new client inquiries are handled for you, so your energy goes where it should. Our supervisors are experienced and invested in our teams growth, offering weekly clinical supervision to our limited licensed clinicians. New team members are offered lots of support rather than left to figure things out alone, and our interns take on meaningful projects with mentorship behind them, with many going on to work within paid roles with us.

Beyond the logistics, this is a place built for people who want to keep developing make an impact in their community. Our clinical team meets for group case consultation, learns across modalities together, and gets hands-on with approaches like somatic work, IFS, polyvagal-informed care, and the Safe and Sound Protocol. Compensation is competitive and whatever role you're stepping into, whether you're a clinician, a wellness practitioner, an intern, or a supervisor, you'll be surrounded by a passionate team that supports one another and holds a shared vision of making a positive impact in the lives of our clients and the broader community as well.

How We Support Our Team

What Integrative Care Means at Michigan Wellbeing

To put it simply, integrative care means treating a person as a whole rather than a set of symptoms. Someone may come to us carrying anxiety, a history that still shapes their closest relationships, a nervous system stuck on high alert, and a diagnosis that describes part of them and misses the rest. Asking that person to keep four providers coordinated and reassemble their own care puts the heaviest work on the one with the least room to carry it. We build the care around them instead, drawing on psychodynamic and relational therapy, somatic and nervous system work, IFS and parts work, family systems, and evidence-based methods like CBT, DBT, and ACT, combined in whatever way actually serves the person in front of us.

Healing reaches further when everyone supporting a person is working from a shared understanding, and that’s what we're building this clinic around. A therapist, a nutritionist, an acupuncturist, and a somatic practitioner each see essential but different aspects of the same client. Healing work can go deeper and farther when what they see is communicated between them instead of sitting in separate charts at separate offices. Care like that only exists when practitioners choose to build it together, which is why we're as deliberate about who joins us as we are about how we practice. If you're a clinician who thinks this way, or an integrative wellness practitioner whose work belongs alongside therapy, reach out. We would love to hear from you.
